Union Jack van ‘t Studutch: Chacoon Blue x Nirmette
The oldest offspring of Chacoon Blue know how to attract attention on the international stage time and again, just like he himself! The 1.55m-classed son of the legendary Chacco-Blue comes from the dam-line of the Olympic champion Askan and is joined here by the reserve champion of the Netherlands: Nirmette!
The Cornet Obolensky-daughter Nirmette scored no less than 90 points for jumping as a three-year-old at the studbook inspection and then managed to become reserve champion of the Netherlands. Even under saddle this still young mare knows how to impress and is being prepared for the sport by Renee van Weert. She does not deny her pedigree, and as her name suggests, she goes directly back to Marcus Fuchs’ successful, multiple Grand Prix winner Nirmette (s.Ramiro Z).
The superb chestnut mare Jakarmette (1.30m) is a daughter of the top Belgian sire Nabab de Rêve and bred out of the famous Balia lineage. Her dam Akarmette is a full sister to Varmette K, better known in the sport as Royal Dream. Under Dennis van den Brink, Royal Dream won the Grand Prix of Zuidwolde and achieved wonderful successes in the youth, including two silver team medals at European Championships. Akarmette herself is now a proven broodmare. Besides Jakarmette, she produced the appointed stallion Fair Diamond E (2010), who is 1.40m classified, the internationally classified Germette E (2011, Tessa Hoeksema) and Harmette E (2012). The latter is a full sister to Jakarmette and was already running at 1.35m level in early 2019. Further down the pedigree, the story only gets better. Great-granddam Karmette (s.Nimmerdor), also granddam of Toronto (1.60m, Candice King), is a full sister to the dam of the famous Nirmette (s.Ramiro Z). Nirmette was extremely successful under the saddle of Marcus Fuchs. In 2007, Fuchs and Nirmette won four Grand Prix in just a few weeks: those of Sankt Gallen, Zurich, Hamburg and Mannheim. Because of these successes, Nirmette was nominated for the 2007 KWPN Horse of the Year election.
