Vitalis x Three Grand Prix horses in a row in the dam’s line
Vitalis is one of the best dressage sires in the world. In the current WBFSH rankings, he is – as the youngest stallion – in eleventh place. He owes this to his Grand Prix-successful offspring, including the Olympic team silver and European team bronze winner Vayron/Daniel Bachmann Andersen/DEN, the team world champion, two-time individual vice world champion and World Cup runner-up Vamos Amigos/Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour/DEN, the eleventh of the World Cup final First-Step Valentin/Larissa Pauluis/BEL, the Louisdor Prize finalist and Aachen runner-up Valencia AS, as well as the Aachen winner and Otto Lörke Prize winner Valesco/both under Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier and the Salzburg winner and Nations Cup-successful Valparaiso/Laura Strobel. The latter, together with the Bundeschampion, the three-time silver medal winner of the World Championship for Young Dressage Horses and Burg-Pokal runner-up Vitalos FRH/Leonie Richter and the current champion stallion in Westphalia, who was sold for 850,000 euros, is part of the almost 90 approved sons of Vitalis. Not to be forgotten in this list of approved stallions are also Valverde NRW (champion stallion, three times Westphalian champion, Federal champion, fourth at the dressage horse World Championships, fourth in the Louisdor Prize, Grand Prix series winner), Villeneuve (first reserve champion, reserve world champion, third at the Federal Championships, eighth in the Burg-Pokal, bronze medal winner DJM), Vaderland OLD (Westphalian reserve champion, bronze medal winner Landeschampionat, St. Georges winner) and Va’ Pensiero (Federal and Hanoverian champion, placed in S-dressage).
The current young title holders are in the starting blocks: the vice Federal champion Veuve Clicquot/Lars Ligus, the Westphalia champion Vito L, the DSP champions DSP Vangelis/Nicole Casper and Valentin/Johanna Wadenspanner, the Holsteiner champion Elfensymphonie, the Baden-Württemberger Landes champion FBW Vjera and the Polish champion Viento. The approximately 100 state premium mares are led by the champion mares Va’Pensiera and Vision L (both Hannover), Vienna (Westphalia), Virginia K (Rheinland), Very Nice (DSP) as well as Valerie and Vitalia (both Baden-Württemberg). The famous daughters also include Victoria’s Secret, world champion dressage horses and Federal champion.
Pure Manda van ’t Studutch, the dam of Vithan, is a 5-year-old daughter of the progenitor Diamond Hit. Her dam, granddam, great-granddam all performed at Grand Prix dressage level. Hexagon’s Roumanda, the granddam of Uthan, triumphed several times under the saddle of Dinja van Liere. Her dam, Latamanda, is thanks to R-Banderas dam of a second GP horse and is also the granddam of three Grand Prix dressage horses, including Hexagon’s Double Dutch who has been competing in the international top dressage sport for almost ten years.
